Fiesa’s last days

FIESA IS closing its doors on Sunday after four months of exhibiting its 35,000 tonnes of sand art and sculpture.

This year’s event was dedicated to the Seven Arts and the World Wonders. Because of the record number of visitors – 170,000 in four months – the promoters, the events company ProSandArt, have applied to the Guinness Book of Records, to be recognised as the biggest event of sand sculpture in the world.

The closing party of Fiesa is scheduled for Sunday, starting at 9pm, with a performance by DJ Lipa and a fire juggling show.

Fiesa will be open to the public until midnight on Sunday. Two days later, construction machines will start to destroy the sand art before the winter rains.
