Fewer students dropping out of school in Portugal

There are fewer students dropping out of school in Portugal, according to recent data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), cited by the Ministry of Education.

In 2014, the percentage of youngsters aged between 18 and 24 who hadn’t completed high school was 17.4% – a 1.5 percentage point decrease compared to the previous year.
Compared to 2011, the number of dropouts has dropped 5.6 percentage points.
