A series of events will be taking place over the Christmas period at the Holiday Inn Algarve, Armação da Perâ.
All proceeds collected will go to the Swim for Shoes initiative, a fundraiser to help raise money for needy children in the Algarve.
On Christmas Eve at 2pm, teams of up to four people (adults and children) are welcome to enter the Grand Charity Sandcastle competition. There will be a €2.50 per person fee.
The Great Christmas Challenge on December 25 will involve participants taking a quick plunge into the sea at the beach in front of the hotel at 11am, wearing Santa Claus outfits (optional).
As this is a charity event, all donations will be gratefully accepted.
All are invited to go along on Boxing Day to help Captain Whitebeard of the ship “Molly pop” retrieve his treasure and earn a share of prizes for themselves. The treasure hunt will begin at 2pm and costs €2.50 to participate.
A second opportunity to take part in the Swim for Shoes dip will take place on January 1 at 11am, this time with pyjama fancy dress (optional) being the theme.
