Quinta da Calma, the holistic healing centre near Almancil, will be hosting the eighth Festival of Light celebrations over the weekend of September 24 and 25 with the theme this year being The Joy of Being in Balance.
The festival will be an opportunity for people to learn about the different activities and therapies available at Quinta da Calma with taster sessions and demonstrations in Yoga and Tai-Chi.
Entry to the festival costs €10 for one day or €15 for both with activities beginning each day a 10am.
Meanwhile, before the festival there will be a concert by the flautist Rao Kyao on September 23. The concert will be held in the Meeting House and will start at 9pm with meditation followed by the music at 10pm with tickets costing €15.
