The small village of Ferreiras in Albufeira is hosting a ‘Peace Light’ ceremony this Sunday (December 18) at the São José church at 4pm.
It is based on the ‘Peace Light from Bethlehem’ campaign originally organised in 1986 in Austria which was part of a large charitable relief mission for children in need.
The traditional ceremony has been held in the borough of Albufeira since 2005.
