Ferragudo’s last ATM machine was removed by the Santander Totta bank on Monday (August 31).
According to the local parish council, it was the owner of the building where the ATM is set up that pressured the bank to remove the ATM. Santander Totta is criticised, however, for refusing to relocate the machine to another local building.
The council guarantees it is “in talks” with another bank to open another ATM “as soon as possible”.
