Fernanda Eva showcases bird paintings in Monchique

The Brazilian painter’s “Cataloguing Birds” exhibition is on display at the Porca Preta Gallery until November 19.

Brazilian painter and actress Fernanda Eva inaugurated her latest exhibition at the Porca Preta Gallery in Monchique on October 21.

Featuring colourful paintings of birds such as flamingos, storks, parrots and more, the “Cataloguing Birds” exhibition is on show until November 19. It can be visited from Friday to Tuesday between 17h00 and 21h00.

Fernanda Eva was born in Brazil and attended the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios de São Paulo for four years, later specializing in Art History at the Faculdade Armando Alvares Penteado.

In 2010, she became a master in Visual Poetics at the University of São Paulo and swapped her life in Brazil for the Monchique mountains, where she currently lives.

She is known for her colourful portrayal of fauna and flora worldwide, creating awareness for environmental preservation.

She has participated in important exhibitions in Brazil and countries such as Mexico, Chile, France, and Portugal. Her works are featured in several collections around the world.
