Teachers union FENPROF has announced a protest to be held in front of the Belém Cultural Centre in Lisbon on Saturday April 17. FENPROF coordinator Mário Nogueira says the action has been called to demand dialogue and discussion with the government on the basis that the union’s dealings with the education ministry have led nowhere. Indeed, Mr Nogueira has accused the ministry of being “an insignificance”.
