Quinta do Lago resort is promising a magical Christmas for visitors and guests with special discounts and a wealth of fun-filled events, including four New Year’s Eve dinners and a New Year’s Day brunch.
For those looking to enjoy a festive getaway, the resort’s The Magnolia Hotel is offering a 15% discount on two-nights or more between December 23 and January 2.
“When it comes to activities, there will not be a dull moment – the resort has prepared a calendar of festive events which will make the season even more special,” Quinta do Lago says.
This Saturday, December 4, will mark the start of the festive season at the resort with a “Christmas Lights Switch-On” at Dano’s restaurant from 5pm to 7pm.
“Join the festivities as we switch on the Christmas tree lights at Dano’s! Enjoy mulled wine, hot chocolate and Christmas music on the plaza at Dano’s, and why not come inside for a warm and hearty meal afterwards,” the resort suggests.
For those who prefer a homier Christmas experience, Quinta do Lago will be preparing Christmas hampers with three-course meals for up to 10 people. All meals are prepared beforehand by the resort’s chefs and will be delivered to clients who will then need to finalise the cooking following the instructions given. The hampers can be collected from the North and South golf course clubhouse between December 17 and 24.
Festivities will continue on December 26 at Dano’s. “Join us to watch the Boxing Day Premier League games with a pint of Guinness or Hop 13, plus a tasty menu with something delicious for the whole family,” says Quinta do Lago.
New Year’s Eve will also be celebrated, with the resort’s four restaurants – Bovino Steakhouse, Casa Velha, Casa do Lago and Dano’s – each preparing special menus for the occasion.
“At Bovino Steakhouse, the live music will be as impressive as the steaks; at Casa Velha, an evening of style and sophistication will unfold, at Casa do Lago, the soulful live pianist will accompany a special dinner menu; while at Dano’s, the rocking live band will have everyone dancing to midnight,” the resort promises.
Also planned is a New Year’s Day brunch at Dano’s from 12 noon to 3pm.
Those looking to stay in shape during the last month of the year also have several events to look forward to at Quinta do Lago.
A 100km bicycle challenge will take place this Saturday (December 4), while a Junior Open Tournament for young golfers is planned between December 17 and 19 at Laranjal golf course. A Christmas Padel Tournament is also scheduled for December 12, as well as a Tennis Family Championship on December 29.
