Fee Winscom is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, holding a Level 4 BTEC diploma in massage therapy.
This means that Fee can offer Swedish (therapeutic) massage, deep tissue massage, Indian head massage and pregnancy massage.
Benefits of regular massage include stress reduction, improved muscle tone and functionality, and aids in joint mobility by reducing muscle stiffness and capsular strain.
The actions of massage also improve circulation and release of toxins from long-standing injuries. Research has even shown that massage therapy can improve sleep patterns, reduce fatigue, improve posture and help concentration.
Fee sees each new client as an exciting and individual challenge. She is particularly excited by the recently specialised ‘pregnancy massage therapy’, as it is one of the few remedies affordable to pregnant women who cannot imbibe medicines to relieve their aches, strains and emotional changes.
Next year Fee will be studying traditional Thai yoga massage in Thailand. She looks forward to incorporating this into her repertoire of holistic healing modalities.
Fee refers appropriate cases to many colleagues throughout the Algarve. Her goal is to set up a mutli-disciplinary remedial centre in a relaxed and tranquil location near Lagos.
Currently Fee massages at various locations, including Bahia Beach Bar on Meia Praia, Mar de Luz Development, Luz and the Maria Monteiro salon in Luz.
