ALFAcultura, the international cultural association of the Algarve, will be staging a number of sessions during February for culture lovers in the region.
The first will take place on February 17 at Quinta dos Vales in Estombar, with Portuguese author Lídia Jorge talking about her 30 years of work as an author and also reading from her works.
The session will be in Portuguese and German and starts at 7.30pm. Entry costs €5 for ALFA members and €6 for guests.
Meanwhile, British author Derek Edwards will be encouraging some lively and controversial discussions during a free session at the Holiday Inn Algarve on February 18 from 5pm.
Finally, the award-winning German language film Whisky mit Wodka, complete with Portuguese subtitles, will be screened at Lagoa Auditorium on February 22 from 7.30pm, also with free admission.
