The trial of a father accused of stabbing his six-month-old baby to death in Oeiras, last April, has heard João Barata say he cannot remember any of it, but if he killed his son, he is a monster. A psychologist called as an expert witness has suggested Barata may have had a psychotic episode, but as the woman is married to the defense lawyer her credibility has been questioned.
Final arguments have been ‘postponed’ till next Monday.
