A Spanish father sought by Spanish authorities was arrested in Vila Real de Santo António yesterday as he left a supermarket in the company of his three children.
The 41-year-old had allegedly ‘gone on the run’ with the children, aged 11, 4 and 19 months, earlier in the week.
He will be appearing before magistrates in Évora this morning for questioning.
Says Lusa, PSP police detained him after a tip-off from Spanish Guardia Civil.
The arrest was made following the filing of a European arrest warrant.
