A MAN was sentenced to seven years and six months in jail for sexually abusing his four-year-old daughter.
The Portimão court considered there were “no doubts” of the crime after the young girl’s testimony and the forensic evidence. The offence occurred in the summer of 2006, when the Moldavian immigrant was to take care of his daughter while the mother had to work at nights. After abusing his daughter, the man would terrorize the toddler by saying he would seriously injure her if she told anyone.
At the final court session, the man, 49, admitted the crime, but said he was drunk at the time and confused his daughter with his wife.
