Lagoa’s annual fair, known as Fatacil, opens today (Friday) and continues until August 30.
During this year’s exhibition, which will be celebrating 30 years, there will be live concerts each night with performers including Abba tribute band Bootleg Abba on August 24 and The Stranglers on August 30.
New features this year at the arts and crafts, tourism, agriculture, commerce and industry fair include a sculpture exhibition, Dance of the Bears, and more than 20 wine producers from across the Algarve who will be showing off their produce in a 300sqm stand dedicated to the regional agriculture and fishing industries. These wines will take part in the second Algarve wine competition, which is organised by the regional agriculture department with the support of the Algarve’s gastronomy and wine association.
Tickets for the Fatacil this year cost five euros per person or 15 euros for a family ticket for four people and can be purchased at the venue. The fair will be open from 6pm until 1am today and then from 4pm until 1am everyday thereafter.
