A “Fashion Show by Jouk” in aid of the Madrugada charity is taking place at Herdade da Corte near Tavira on Saturday, April 18.
Jouk has been selling designer fashions in the Algarve for over 30 years, catering for women of all ages, shapes and sizes.
There will be a number of interesting stalls to browse around – accessories, cards, books, jewellery, soaps – from 11.30am and then the multinational fashion show will start at 1pm.
Models from Belgium, Holland, Germany, Norway, Portugal and the UK will be showing the clothes from the Spring/Summer collection 2015 – as well as helping to raise funds for Madrugada, the charity for people affected by life-limiting illness.
Three years ago more than €700 was raised for the charity and a similar target is planned for this year, said organiser Lynne Booker.
There will be a raffle with prizes donated by individuals and organisations.
Mobin, a regular chef at Herdade da Corte, will be providing a curry lunch starting at 2pm. The charge for the show is €5 and for the show and lunch €25.
