Fashion sale to help tsunami children

YOU CAN help victims of the tsunami in South East Asia by supporting a Grand Sale of new and nearly new designer fashion for women, which will be held in Almancil on March 14 and 15.

If you have any quality fashion items that you’ve grown tired of, you can make money from them and help raise funds to build a much-needed new school for the children in Phuket, Thailand.

Inspired by the trendy Couture Car Boot Sale organised by Trinny and Susannah of What Not to Wear…, and the Fashion ‘Jumble’ Sale at Topshop, London, organisers Linda, Jouk and Penny will bring together some ‘end of sale’ items from local designer boutiques, alongside good quality, second-hand ‘label’ women’s clothes for a two-day fashion extravaganza at unbelievably low prices.

The Grand Fashion Sale will take place at the Associação Social e Cultural de Almancil (Almancil Community Centre – by the new park) from 9.30am to 6pm each day and funds raised will be donated to the recently launched GMTV appeal organised by the Norwich family who lost their mother to the tsunami.

To arrange to sell your items (a percentage of the sale price will go the fund) or donate them, contact Linda for the Almancil and Luz/Lagos areas (918 681 984), Penny for the rest of east/central Algarve up to Porches (919 102 395) or Jouk for Porches/Lagoa areas (282 342 758). Clothes must be clean and in good condition. Tell all your friends and plan a trip to the Grand Sale – you might pick up a gorgeous fashion bargain to start the spring!
