Faro will host the Feira dos Queijos, Vinhos e Enchidos, featuring several types of cheese, wine and smoked sausages, at Jardim Manuel Bívar between Wednesday, April 17 and Sunday, April 21.
The event will showcase delicious regional products but also specialties from other parts of Portugal such as the famous cheeses from Nisa, Moura, Serra da Estrela, Serra da Gardunha, Serpa and Borba.
In terms of wine, there will be a variety of Algarve wines as well as others from the Alentejo, Bairrada, Beira Interior, Dão and Douro regions.
And while Monchique sausages are always a highlight at any “enchidos” event in the region, guests can also taste and buy smoked sausages from Baixo Alentejo, Serra da Estrela, Montemuro and Gardunha.
In total, there will be over 30 stalls. Entry is free although wine lovers will have to purchase a glass to taste the wines.
The fair will be open from 5pm to 11pm on the opening day and from midday to midnight on the following days.
