Between May 23 and 24, Faro’s Lethes Theatre will be hosting the 1st Faro Blues, an international Blues festival organised by Ambifaro and designed to put the Algarve capital on the ‘Blues map’.
The first day will give the audience an opportunity to learn more about the Blues music genre in a special workshop held by local musician Tércio Freire.
Concerts are scheduled for the following day at 9.30pm.
Taking to the stage will be local Faro band Wax Flamingos, as well as American bluesman Terry ‘Harmonica’ Bean and Spanish group Slappin Combo.
Tickets cost €16 for both days and €10 just for the concerts. They can be purchased at Ambifaro’s headquarters in the municipal market or reserved by telephone.
