Faro resumes ferry services to Farol and Culatra island

Local council has announced timetables for the two ferries

The ferry services linking Faro to Ilha do Farol and Ilha da Culatra resumed for the summer on Thursday (June 1).

The announcement was made by Faro Council in a statement to the press in which it revealed the timetables for the two ferries.

For travellers heading from Faro’s Cais da Porta do Mar to Ilha do Farol, departures will take place at 8.30am, 10.35am, 12.25pm, 2.45pm, 4.45pm and 6.45pm, while boats will depart from Ilha do Farol towards Faro at 9.20am, 11.20am, 1.10pm, 4.05pm, 6pm and 7.30pm. These schedules will remain in place until September 15, excluding the final ferries of the day in each direction which will end on August 31.

The ferry to Ilha da Culatra will depart from Faro at 8.30am and 2.45pm, with return trips taking place at 9.35am and 3.35pm.

The council has also revealed the June and July schedule for ferries linking Faro and Praia de Faro, which now operate all-year-long.

Departures from Faro take place at 9am, 9.30am, 10.15am, 11.30am, 12pm, 1pm, 1.50pm, 2.20pm, 3pm, 3.40pm, 4.20pm, 4.50pm, 5.40pm, 6pm, 6.50pm, and 7pm, while return trips depart at 9.30am, 10am, 10.45am, 11.15am, 12pm, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.20pm, 3pm, 4.10pm, 5pm, 5.20pm, 6.20pm, 6.30pm and 7.40pm.
