A clean-up initiative to rid the Algarve’s beautiful Ria Formosa of rubbish is taking place next week.
Entitled ‘Limpar a Ria Formosa’ (Cleaning Ria Formosa), it is open to anyone willing to help at 9.15am on Sunday, April 22 at Praia de Faro, Barrinha, Sapais and Ilhotes, while schoolchildren will be in charge of cleaning Ilha da Culatra, Ilha Deserta, Ilha do Farol and other parts of Praia de Faro.
