Faro mayor Rogério Bacalhau has sent an urgent letter to Docapesca urging the port authority to carry out urgent repairs to the town’s rundown docks, where sections of walls continue to crumble making the area especially dangerous and unstable.
The request has been made many times before but Docapesca’s lack of action forced Bacalhau to go public.
