Faro is again set to be a mecca for bikers this weekend (July 14-17).
Motorbike aficionados from all over the world are expected to descend on the Algarve’s capital city for its 35th hugely popular bike rally, organised each year by the Moto Clube de Faro.
As always, the event will be held in the Vale das Almas area and feature a long list of activities and events including bike shows, a biker fair, tattoo stands and a tattoo contest, a wet T-shirt contest and live concerts every night.
The musical headliner is eclectic New York City band Fun Lovin’ Criminals, who will take the stage on Saturday night.
Other standouts include Portuguese rock and roll kings Xutos e Pontapés and Fado singer Carminho.
Four-day tickets cost €45 and include a goodie bag with a T-shirt, a rally badge, sticker and coupons for free meals, free bus trips to and from Faro city centre, as well as an opportunity to win a new motorcycle and a week-long holiday in Daytona, USA.
