Porto is hosting this year’s edition of the Adegga WineMarket, but the Algarve has not been left out.
To ensure wine lovers down south are able to enjoy the occasion, Faro will host a ‘pop-up’ wine tasting event on the rooftop of Hotel Faro on April 16 (Saturday).
Though producers will not be taking part, a sommelier will be on hand to answer questions and give information.
There will be more than 40 wines to taste from well-known names, including Soalheiro, Paulo Laureano, Poças, Monte da Ravasqueira, Niepoort, Caminhos Cruzados, Quinta de Lemos, Casa da Passarella, Cortes de Cima, Quinta da Lapa, Esporão and Torre do Frade.
Organiser André Ribeirinho says this is the first time Adegga Wine Market will be celebrated in three different places (Porto, Lisbon and Faro).
“We want to give our clients a chance to taste and buy the wines available at the Adegga WineMarket without having to travel very far,” he said.
The events will take place between 2pm and 9pm.
Tickets cost €15.
