Spanish beer company Damm is bringing its popular tapas route to Faro next month.
Entitled ‘Rota de Tapas Estrella Damm’, the event will see restaurants in Faro’s historic centre serving regional tapas accompanied by a Estrella Damm beer for €3 between Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 28.
The tapas will include oysters, sardines and mackerel sourced from Ria Formosa as well as other regional ingredients like orange, carob and almond.
“Bringing the route to Faro is a result of the increasing demand from consumers and restaurants in the region,” said Estrella Damm’s marketing manager Elsa Cerqueira.

The event, which will also be held in Lisbon and Braga between May 18 and June 4, is supported by the regional tourism board (RTA), Faro council, the Algarve’s hotel and tourism schools and the ‘365 Algarve’ cultural programme.
