It’s that time of year again: the Faro bikers’ fest – the so-called 40th ‘Concentration’ begins on Thursday in Vale das Almas, and is expected to attract bikers from all over Europe for four days of music and camaraderie. Entertainment this year will come from fado singer Ana Moura, Xutos e Pontapés, Sisters of Mercy – and there is even talk of the original band members of Dire Straits (without Mark Knopfler). President of Faro bikers’ club (Moto Clube de Faro) José Amaro has said over 25,000 people are expected. This is the first bikers’ fest to take place since the start of the pandemic.
