Faro Council is distributing pet food donated by animal support group IRA among local families and animal carers in need.
To receive the pet food, families must obtain a certificate from their local council or parish council attesting that they are facing financial difficulties.
The food will also be distributed among local citizens who are “recognised in the community as animal colony carers”.
