FARO HOSPITAL may see the clinical doctors’ crisis spread to other departments if the health professionals don’t see their demands met.
A group of doctors from the surgery department have threatened to follow their colleagues’ example (see The Resident edition of November 30) unless the Emergency Unit sees urgent improvements. The doctors are protesting against the lack of working conditions in that department and request for reinforcements in technicians and equipment.
The administration board is refusing any comments on the subject while meetings are being held with the resigning teams.
