Faro Council announces plans to build Cultural and Innovation Centre in Bordeira

Faro Council is moving forward with plans to build a Cultural and Innovation Centre in the small village of Bordeira in Santa Bárbara de Nêxe – not to be mistaken with the parish of Bordeira in Aljezur.

The centre will feature a Stone Museum and Accordion Museum, which will highlight the village’s rich history and its reputation as Portugal’s “accordion capital”.

The works, which will cost €1.5 million and last around 540 days, will begin as soon as the project receives approval from the Court of Auditors.
