Faro is hosting its 12th Flamenco Festival on April 29-30 (Friday and Saturday).
Alicia Márquez and Ramón Martinez are the stars and will lead two workshops as well as perform their ‘BailArte Flamenco’ show, described as a “primitive show in which the purest essence of the body expresses itself” without being bogged down by “worries or stereotypes”.
The performance will take place April 30 at Faro’s Teatro das Figuras, starting at 9.30pm.
Tickets cost €12.
The workshops, developed for beginners, will also be held at the theatre on April 29 at 7pm and on April 30 at 3pm.
They cost €25 and the first 15 people to sign up will receive a free ticket for the ‘BailArte Flamenco’ show.
Both Márquez and Martínez have several years of dancing experience. Márquez was part of the Compañia Andaluza de Danza for seven years, as well as Martínez who also belonged to other groups such as Eva la Yerbabuena and Cristina Hoyos.
