Faro beach plan

A new bridge, improved accesses and a paid car park are included in the preliminary project for Praia de Faro, which was presented to the public last week.

The bridge will include a lane for vehicles and another for pedestrians and cyclists, while the car park, located just before entering the bridge to the peninsula, will have 906 spaces for vehicles. Further prepaid car parking spaces are under discussion for the peninsula area itself.

Works to improve accessibility at Praia de Faro are expected to cost €3.87 million and are part of the Polis plan for the Ria Formosa.
