Faro Council has approved the dissolution of the Parish Union of Conceição and Estoi and the creation of two new separate parishes: Conceição de Faro and Estoi.
The decision will guarantee that the new parish councils will be closer to citizens and will “restore some historic justice for these populations, which have centuries-old identities and very clear specificities.”
The proposal will be voted on at the municipal assembly before being discussed and decided upon in Parliament.
