THE MINISTRY of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has started to distribute 25 million euros to producers whose livestock has been affected by the winter drought and cattle fever. Minister Carlos Costa Neves announced recently that the government was making available between 20 and 25 million euros to help farmers. The minister said that the regions most affected were the Alentejo and Beira Baixa.
