Farmers in north face ruin after second bout of hailstones devastates vineyards and olive groves

Devastated farmers are facing ruin following a return of hailstorms that caused untold damages only two weeks previously. The new deluge came last Sunday, and saw growers already suffering up to 60% losses now attesting to as much as 90% to 100%. Most destroyed have been vines and olive groves. Said one of those affected: “We’re not going to have a harvest this year. We have lost perspectives of a future”.
