Farmers and producers can start registering damages from Monchique fire

Farmers and producers who suffered damages as a result of the fire that devastated 2,000 hectares in the municipalities of Monchique and Portimão yesterday (Saturday) can start reporting them to DRAP Algarve (the regional agriculture and fisheries department). DRAP Algarve is compiling a register in order to “action eventual (financial) support”. Those affected can either report their losses on the DRAP Algarve internet page, or go in person to the department’s headquarters in Patacão, near Faro, from Monday morning.
