Farense win again

Two victories from two games has been the ideal start for SC Farense and their manager Rui Duarte as they look to establish their place in the Segunda Liga.

The game at FC Porto ‘B’ was all but over after just 15 minutes. Porto defender Bidi saw red after just 60 seconds and before the home side had time to re-organise, Farense had slotted three goals past bemused keeper Mouhamed.

Bernardo (2’), Fabrício (6′) and Borges (14′) were the players on target. The 10-men Porto side reduced the arrears four minutes from the break through Rúben Macedo.

The second-half saw the visitors comfortably maintain their 3-1 lead despite having Alan Júnior sent-off 15 minutes from time.

On Sunday, SC Farense entertain SC Braga ‘B’ at the Estádio de São Luís (behind Faro Hospital) – kick-off 6pm.
