In the Segunda Liga, SC Farense brought their run of three straight defeats to an end with a 1-0 home victory against Cova da Piedade (Almada, Lisbon). Ryan Gauld, the young Scotland U21 international, played the full 90 minutes and had his first taste of victory for Farense since joining on-loan from Sporting Lisbon. Irobiso scored the all-important goal against his former club 15 minutes from time. On Sunday, SC Farense travel to the northern region of Porto to play Varzim.
