SC Farense won 2-0 in the Azores against SC Ideal thanks to goals from Okechukwu Irobiso, in the eighth minute, and a 67th strike from second-half substitute Jorge Alves.
Farense, who have lost only one league game all season, only need to win six of their last nine games to be guaranteed top spot in the Campeonato de Portugal Division E, and that is assuming that either Olhanense or Casa Pia win all their games!
On Sunday, Farense entertain lowly Lusitano VRSA at the São Luís Stadium (behind Faro Hospital) at 3pm.
