Algarve History Association is holding a dinner and talk on Mozambique on Monday, July 8 at Herdade da Corte in Tavira at 7pm.
Titled ‘Mozambique – a meander through the past, present…and future?’, the talk by John Clifton is a gentle stroll through some of the twists and turns of Mozambican history which has repeated itself with farce and tragedy, although not necessarily in that order.
John Clifton has lived and worked in over 35 countries, including Mozambique in the period immediately following the civil war. Cost per person is €20 and bookings should be made by July 6.
The talk will also be held on Tuesday, July 9 at 6pm in the Municipal Library of Tavira and on Wednesday, July 10 at 6pm in the Municipal Library of Lagoa.
