Beer lovers won’t have to wait much longer for the second Porches Craft Beer Fest which will be held at Vila Vita Biergarten in Porches on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9.
The event was such a success last year that organisers decided to bring it back for another edition in 2019.
As organisers say, “Porches Craft Beer Fest brings together an eclectic mix of people, flavours, sounds and arts”.
Expectations are high as there will be a variety of craft beer to enjoy as well as traditional Bavarian food, Asian specialities, an American-style barbeque and Italian fresh pasta.
Making the ‘beer fest’ even more appealing is the fact that this can all be enjoyed in the pleasant gardens of the Vila Vita Biergaten, where several high-profile musical guests will be performing during the course of the event.
Orelha Negra will be taking the stage on Saturday, June 8 with the group’s unique fusion of several musical styles from hip-hop to soul and funk.
On the following day, it will be one-man show The Legendary Tigerman who will be the headlining act.
There are two stages set up and other bands performing at the event include Os Compotas, Gijoe + Rhythm, Vítor Bacalhau and Toby One.
Organisers say the event also aims to raise awareness about the environment and will be using recyclable and reusable materials. The money raised from the recycled materials used at the event will be donated to the Centro de Apoio Social de Porches.
There will also be entertainment for children including bouncy castles and face paintings.
Tickets cost between €10 and €15 (for a one or two-day pass) and include a free beer. They can be purchased from Ticketline, Fnac and Worten.
The festival is backed by Superbock 1927, Sailor Jerry, Gin Sul and American Classic Cars.
