More than 240 family members, friends, business associates and fellow masons attended a service to celebrate the life of Fred Hurley at Praia da Luz church on July 30.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made instead to the Western Algarve Riding for the Disabled charity, with more than 1,600 Euros being raised so far.
The family of Fred Hurley, Valerie, Mark, Deborah, Jeanett, Jade, Cassandra and Sebastian, would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the hundreds of people who have sent such kind messages of condolences.
“I have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of messages of sympathy I have received in the past few weeks, equally so by the number of people who attended the church service. It has given us some comfort during this very difficult time,” said Valerie Hurley.
