Lagos || Family and friends of missing Scot Jon Edwards are still desperate for information on his whereabouts, although various theories put forward recently have now been scrapped.
Jon does not appear to have joined a hippy commune, as was suggested last week, and mother Lesley has confirmed that local farms using Wwoofers have no record of him. Even so, the Wwoofing organisation is on the alert and has sent out messages to 56 affiliated farms.
Reports that an unidentified swimmer has been reported drowned off the coast near Aljezur initially worried the family, but police sources have since informed them that the missing man appeared to be “bald and older than Jon”.
In the absence of a body, sister Kenna and mother Lesley are holding on to hope.
“We have even had a Portuguese lawyer claim that someone came to his office with information (regarding Jon) but he says he can’t tell us online,” Kenna told us, adding she and her mother doubt this is a legitimate claim.
“If it was, why would neither party contact the PSP or PJ?” she asked.
31-year-old Jon disappeared from his apartment in Lagos on September 15. He is reported to have hit his head before his disappearance, and left behind him his passport, money and other belongings.
If anyone has seen or has any information about him, the PSP in Lagos + 351 282 762 930 is waiting for their call.
