FARO HAS a new family health centre to provide medical assistance to families but still has no family doctor.
The new health service, which opened on Monday, is based in the same building as Faro’s main health centre and is open every Monday to Friday, from 8am to 8pm. On Saturdays and Sundays, the centre is open from 8am to 2pm.
Direcção Regional de Saúde, the regional health authority, is expecting to open another family health unit in Tavira before the end of this year and one more is scheduled for Olhão early next year.
