ON SUNDAY, October 1, a family fun day and auction will be held at the São Brás Inn, Sítio de Tesoureiro, São Brás de Alportel, to raise funds for the bombeiros.
The day will start at 11am with an auction, which will include, among many other things, a bottle of wine from Sir Cliff Richard’s vineyard donated and signed by him, the opportunity to record a CD at the studio of a professional singer and one week’s free bed and breakfast for two at the São Brás Inn. There will also be a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses and restaurants and the bric-a-brac stall will provide ample opportunity to browse and barter. The more energetic can play darts, while armchair athletes may wish to guess the number of beans in the bottle or the weight of the cake!
Come along and join in the fun and, if it is warm enough, bring your swimming things and have a splash in the pool. All monies raised will be donated to the bombeiros.
