December 1 to January 7 – Monchique Christmas. There will be Christmas parades, Christmas market, theatre and entertainment, village cribs, competition in the local trade, circus. Largo de São Sebastião, Saturday and Sunday 11am to 7pm; Monday to Friday 3pm to 7pm

December 3 – São Brás de Alportel Red Night with arts & crafts, musical entertainment and Santa arriving at 3pm. Largo de São Sebastião and surrounding streets, 3pm to 11pm

December 3 to 24 – Lagos Christmas Village featuring a variety of activities, exhibitions, performances, Santa’s House, an environmentally-friendly ice rink, a small market and fun activities for children. There will also be the reading of Christmas tales on December 4,8, 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 4pm. Praça do Infante, open until December 24 from noon to 8pm between Monday and Thursday, noon and 9pm on Friday, and 10am and 9pm on weekends and the holiday of December 8. On Christmas Eve, the village will open at 10am and close at 5pm. Santa arrives on December 3 at 3pm

December 3 to January 8 – Silves, Christmas Cheer at Praça Al-Muthamid with a wide range of novelties and great shows. An ice rink, merry-go-round, Christmas train, the usual market and a different and diverse range of Christmas shows, including circus, theatre, gospel, storytelling, Christmas musical, jazz and dance are some of the attractions
aimed at children and families and that will fill the square with smiles, joy and fun. Admission is free.Daily from 2pm to 8pm. Closed on
25 December and 1 January

December 3 – Vale do Lobo Christmas Market. Get into the Christmas spirit and to pick up fantastic gifts from jewellery, arts and crafts, ceramics, fashion, sweets, regional produce, flowers, paintings, body products, toys, cards, gifts, cakes and much more, sample gourmet food and wine and enjoy live music and entertainment for all ages. Free to attend and
will be held throughout the Parque do Golfe complex, Vale do Lobo Auditorium and exterior gardens. 10am to 5.30pm

December 3 – Christmas Artisan Fair. Luz Ocean Club Gardens, 10am to 4pm

December 3 & 4 – Artenata | Ferragudo Christmas Fair. Showcasing the work of local artisans and artists. Open between 10am and 6pm, in Baixa de Ferragudo

December 3 & 4 – Father Christmas arrives in Messines. The parade will start at 2pm, at Rua João de Deus, and then head towards the pavilion of the Casa do Povo de SB Messines. There will be bouncy castles, a Christmas market, entertainment and other surprises. 2pm and 7pm

December 4 – Cacela Velha Christmas Market. Traditional handicrafts (palm weaving, basketry, pottery, patchwork and more) and new creations; regional food products such as honey, bread, cakes, jams and liqueurs; flowers; natural creams and soaps; hand-crafted toys; books and music will all be on sale at this market. Vila Nova de Cacela, from 10.30am to 5pm

December 4 – ASCA Christmas Market (Associação Social e Cultural de Almancil). Rua do Centro Comunitário, Almancil, 9am to 1pm

December 6 to January 6 – VRS António Christmas Village. The Marquês de Pombal Square will be transformed into a fun area for children and adults, where there will be a Father Christmas House, children’s entertainment, handicraft, sports exhibitions, gastronomy and music and dance shows at weekends. Father Christmas arrives on December 6 at 5pm. Daily from 10am to 8pm

December 8 to January 8 – Monte Gordo Christmas Village on Avenida Marginal. There will also be a Father Christmas’ house and entertainment for the youngsters. The space can be visited on weekends

December 10 – Aljezur International School Christmas Fair, 10am to 6pm

Until January 8 – Santa’s Village and Ice Rink at Forum Algarve Shopping in Faro. Santa Claus will be waiting for the little ones for the traditional photograph, and this year the Christmas Village has one more surprise: the reindeer Rodolfo will also be present and promises to be very musical! There is also a space for children to write their letter to Santa Claus and deliver it to the old man with the white beard.
