Carminho, Portugal’s new fado diva, will be presenting her latest album Alma during a special outdoor event, under the stars, in Vale do Lobo on July 22 at 8.30pm.
Carminho has known fado from a very early age. Fado records were played as lullabies and she learned about fado at her parents’ soirées.
While she was still a teenager, she started singing in fado places in Lisbon. She shot to fame in 2009 when her debut album Fado wowed music critics and led to a legion of new fans.
The concert will take place on the 18th hole of the Ocean Golf Course at Parque do Golfe. Tickets cost €22 and are available at the Vale do Lobo Resort Reception (call 289 353 322).
