A NIGHT of Fado is due to take place tomorrow evening (Saturday) at Lagoa Auditorium, at 9.30pm and will feature some of the greatest music from this genre.
Tenors Giovanni D’Amore and Amália Rodrigues’ music will be immortalised during this evening of traditional entertainment called Flores para Amália (Flowers for Amália). The event is part of a series to pay homage to Amália Rodrigues and an exhibition on the life and works of the Italian tenor will open on the same day at 4pm at the Convento São José, with a mass at Lagoa’s Igreja Matriz at 2.30pm.
