Algarve fado singer Ondina Santos and friends are presenting an evening of fado at the Galeria Arte Algarve in Lagoa on Thursday, May 21.
The “Gala de Fado” will be the first of a series of concerts and theatre events to be held at the art gallery located in the town’s historic winery along the EN125.
Ondina will be accompanied by fado singers João Leote and Ana Marques and musicians Manelito (Portuguese guitar) and Cláudio Sousa (fado viola).
Last October, the acoustics and logistics of the venue were tested during the Festival da Guitarra. It was a success with 250 people attending while admiring the surroundings featuring over 500 artworks on display.
Tickets to the Gala de Fado cost €10 and are available at the gallery. Doors open at 7pm for the concert at 8pm.
