Singer Nuno da Câmara Pereira will perform at Vale do Lobo’s Auditorium tomorrow night (Saturday April 24), promising an evening to remember from one of Fado’s best known stars.
With a career spanning more than 25 years and a discography of 20 albums, Nuno da Câmara Pereira is, undoubtedly, a Fado icon, not only in Portugal but also abroad. Born on June 19, 1951, Nuno says he has the Fado “in his blood”. Becoming a Fado singer was simply his destiny.
In 1977, at the age of 26, Nuno da Câmara Pereira “arrived” professionally as a Fado singer at Coliseu dos Recreios, and later in 1982 he recorded his first album called FADO. Many more have followed. There has also been a succession of awards, silver, gold and platinum records and an endless number of other prizes.
Nuno has taken his Fado all over the world, giving performances in Madrid, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Maputo, Bissau, Toronto, Maastricht, Washington, Dublin, Johannesburg and Brussels, as well as several in Italy. Nuno plans to tell his story of a life of Fado and the themes of a career spanning 25 years in his concert in Vale do Lobo.
The Auditorium foyer bar will be open from 9pm and the performance will take place at 9.30pm, lasting approximately 60 minutes. Prior to the event, visitors can enjoy an exceptional dinner at any Vale do Lobo Gastronomique Restaurant, with a special discount of 20 per cent on presentation of the event ticket.
The tickets for the Fado evening with Nuno da Câmara Pereira are available at 25 euros for the general public and at 15 euros for Vale do Lobo club members and clients staying at the Vale do Lobo, Hotel Quinta do Lago and Ria Park Hotels.
