Dear Editor,
Where is the greatest blot on the landscape in Algarve to be found? Surely the rows of deteriorating skeletal quarter built “houses” that remain on the hillside that overlooks Albufeira Marina.
They have stood thus for some years and daily fall into yet further decay due to changing weather conditions.
Those who observe them from the marina for the first time must be dismayed at the prospect that they present.
Are they to be bulldozed and taken out of their misery or shall they remain surrounded by falling down boarding, blown further by winds, forever?
What an advertisement for visitors who arrive by sea or on land…
